Capacity Building

The Capacity Building activities of Worldview Impact are built upon the solid communication and development experience of its strategic partner, Worldview International Foundation (WIF). This has pioneered and implemented several large-scale development projects during the last 30 years. WIF's speciality is in development communication, media advocacy and mobilization of people’s participation. Its many development initiatives have resulted in activating hundreds of thousands of people in project implementation.

An example: the Blindness Prevention Project in Bangladesh has established more than 2 million home gardens for increased consumption of A-vitamin rich fruit and vegetables. This has led to the dramatic reduction in blindness and child mortality (from A-vitamin deficiency), in addition to several hundred media and communication projects in over 30 countries, based on basic needs issues.

WIF has also implemented tree planting projects in Africa and Asia, in addition to its development centre of organic agriculture and forestry at Paradise Farm. Many large scale projects have been implemented in cooperation with partner organizations in Asia, Africa and South-America (eg. the Green Belt Movement, Grameen Bank, IFAD, Freedom from Hunger Campaign, UNICEF, Asian Development Bank and other leading development institutions).

WIF maintains a international network of more than 800 Community Based Organizations, which have been invited to participate as partners in the new capacity building projects with Worldview Impact to train young people in the business of rubber tapping and production, and to add value to our rubber products.
